In the summer of 2021, the Cité internationale de la tapisserie will dedicate an exhibition to the Sallandrouze factory in Lamornaix. Deeply linked to the history of the Creuse region and to the city of Aubusson, this family played a major role in the textile industry of the 19th century.
C. John are priviliged to have as part of our Aubusson Collection two original carpets from the Sallandrouze dynasty. Having been approached by the curators of this exhibtion, these rugs, pictured here are now part of this unique display of Aubusson carpets originating from Lamornaix.
As seen in the picture above, the carpets which are in excellent original condition, feature the signature of the Sallandrouze family therefore marking its aunthenticity.
